Former beauty queen Rabiya Mateo on Tuesday, July 12, revealed that she’s taking a step back at finding love and focus on becoming a good host for the newest Kapuso game show, Tiktoclock instead.
During the show’s virtual media conference, Mateo got asked if she is open to falling in love again, and responded: “Hindi po muna. Focus po muna sa career.”
The former beauty queen said she would be heeding the advice of her co-hosts Kim Atienza and Pokwang to [just] continue building her showbiz career.
“Palagi po nilang sinasabi sa akin na, ‘Anumang nangyayari sa ‘yo ngayon, sobrang blessed ka na at your age, nandito ka sa spot na ito.’ Doon din muna ang focus ko. Gusto ko munang maging magaling sa Tiktoclock.”
Does this mean she is no longer with Kapuso actor Jeric Gonzales?
Mateo and Gonzales worked together on an episode of Wish Ko Lang. Then in 2021, they announced to the public that they were in a relationship.
But recently, Gonzales and Mateo got rumored for a breakup after unfollowing each other on Instagram.
The actor also removed the photos that included the former beauty queen.
As of this writing, there is no confirmation from either Mateo or Gonzales if the rumors were true.
Meanwhile, Tiktoclock will premiere on July 25 at 11:15 a.m.
