On June 14, influencer turned Kapamilya artist Sean Tristan highlighted his character’s similarities to his influencer roots.
During the press conference for his upcoming series Beach Bros, Tristan related his character’s love for vlogging and documenting his experience.
“Siguro, very similar kami sa ano po, ‘yung nagsimula ako as an influencer. Social media, ganon. And then, pagdating naman sa personality niya, medyo may pagka-happy-go-lucky din ako, so parang light lang ‘yung feeling ng atmosphere ko at tsaka si Jeremy kasi, mahilig siyang mag-video-video, may vlog siya, mag-take ng videos for the memories so parang may pagka-sentimental din siya.”
He then recounted his showbiz journey from Tiktok, KUMU, and now the Kapamilya Network through a short film.
“Ako naman po, I started sa Tiktok noong pandemic, so I started posting Tiktok videos and it gained traction. Nag-stream din ako sa KUMU.
“Nagkaroon din po kami ng shortfilm kasama ko rin po ‘yung si Renshi. Gumawa po kami ng shortfilm sa YouTube, and ‘yun po ‘yung nakita nila sir Deo, so they decided to get me to Squad Plus po tapos ‘yun po ‘yung lumipat ako sa showbiz.”
He also expressed gratitude for the opportunities he received from the Kapamilya Network.
“‘Yun nga po sobrang blessed and sobrang thankful ko po talaga. Kasi tuloy-tuloy po siya. Sana po magtuloy-tuloy pa rin. I’m just very happy, and very grateful for all the blessings and for all the projects that I’m getting now.”
As for his upcoming series, Tristan revealed that he had the challenge of gaining weight for his role.
“I really find it hard to gain weight.
“So sila kung kailangan nila mag-diet, ako kailangan ko mag-gain weight. Pero, it’s hard for me. Pero, never ko naman na-feel ‘yung pressure sa akin ni Direk na parang hindi naman nila ako pinilit like that.
“I tried– sa amin lahat, kapag nagbu-buffet, ako po ‘yung pinaka maraming kinakain pero ako pa rin ‘yung payat sa aming lahat.”
