Alden Richards learns to step out of his comfort zone in ‘Start-Up PH’

Kapuso star Alden Richards on Sunday, August 21, revealed that playing his character in the Filipino adaptation of the hit Korean series Start-Up made him realize that it is “sometimes good to be uncomfortable.”

“It’s really more of stepping into the unknown and doing things beyond your comfort zone.” He said during the Davao City press conference for Start-Up PH. “Kasi, when you’re just inside your box, and you just keep on doing the things that you used to do, na hindi ka sumusubok ng mga bagong bagay, hindi mo nilalakasan ang loob mo.”

He told the press and LionhearTV that boxing oneself could only make life less meaningful. Start-Up PH , according to the actor, teaches “about being open to possibilities, open to everything or to anything that life has to offer and being prepared, and well-equipped kung paano mo siya ite-take on.”

Also, Richards said that the show hopes to inspire the audience to fulfill their dreams, stressing that there is no age limit to achieving aspirations.

“Start-Up is about dreams, fulfilling dreams. Lahat naman tayo may pangarap eh. And this show aims to inspire a lot of people who will watch it. Kasi ang pangarap naman hindi lang pangbata iyan eh.

“Hangga’t humihinga ka, whether you are still alive, you can still dream. Even if you’re 80 or 90 years old ka, there’s always a dream out there that needs to be fulfilled.

“I think this show, Start-Up PH will get to inspire people na nanunuod, at manunuod nitong soap kung ano nga ba ang pakiramdam na ma-fulfill mo ang sarili mong pangarap.”

Richards stars alongside Bea Alonzo, Jeric Gonzales, and Yasmien Kurdi in this Filipino adaptation set to premiere in September only on GMA Telebabad.
