The action-drama series marks the Kapamilya leading man’s return to primetime after his brief stint on the inspirational series Huwag Kang Mangamba.
Diether Ocampo is joining the highly anticipated action primetime series Iron Heart, starring Richard Gutierrez in the lead role. The Kapamilya leading man was captured in photos while he was on the scene. Dimples Romana, who got confirmed as part of the series last week, also posted a story on her Instagram, showing her and Ocampo while taking their break.
Before Huwag Kang Mangamba, Ocampo appeared in various TV shows on GMA Network and TV5. He notably starred several Kapamilya shows, including Saan Ka Man Naroroon (1999), Recuerdo de Amor (2001), Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas (2003), Marina (2004), Ikaw Ang Lahat Sa Akin (2007), Only You (2009), and Apoy Sa Dagat (2013).
Though unclear as to how vital his role would be in Iron Heart. However, some finest actors like Albert Martinez, Roi Vinzon, Jeric Raval, Jake Cuenca, Baron Geisler, Victor Silayan, Maja Salvador, Sue Ramirez, and others are also part of the cast.
The series got announced in 2018, with Richard Gutierrez and Bea Alonzo originally slated to top bill the project and stalled for two years following the latter’s move to GMA Network. It got revived early this year. It will be Gutierrez’s third Kapamilya series after La Luna Sangre (2017) and FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano (2020).
Iron Heart is currently taping scenes in the province of Cebu. It is expected to debut on ABS-CBN’s primetime block via TV5 and A2Z, as well as online via Kapamilya Online Live and iWantTFC, early next year.
