The project under Dreamscape Entertainment is Diamond Star Maricel Soriano’s most-awaited return to primetime TV after more than two years.
Popular and talented Kapamilya stars Paulo Avelino and Kim Chiu are joining Soriano in her upcoming series. The still-untitled drama series will be an ensemble casting and will mark the return of the award-winning actress to primetime TV. Her last TV series was with Jodi Sta. Maria and Iza Calzado, Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin, aired on Kapamilya Channel in 2020.
Also, the series marks Soriano’s return to Dreamscape Entertainment after more than three years. Her last project under the ABS-CBN drama unit was with Angel Locsin’s The General’s Daughter in 2019.
The upcoming project will be the first time Kim Chiu will get to star with Soriano. The last time Chiu starred in a Dreamscape project was two years ago, when she and her long-time reel-to-real partner Xian Lim, starred in Love Thy Woman.
However, Paulo Avelino had his chance to working with the multi-awarded actress in 2011 via the Regal Entertainment-produced film, Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow. The film was the movie outfit’s entry to the 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival, where Soriano bagged the Best Actress trophy.
Given Dreamscape Entertainment’s reputation for producing big ensemble dramas, no doubt that the upcoming project will feature several award-winning and seasoned stars, as well as up-and-coming artists who are yet to make their mark in the business.
Details about the upcoming series, including its title, plot, directors, and target playdate are yet to be disclosed. What is sure is that the series will finally air on ABS-CBN’s platforms early next year.
