Broadcast journalist Bernadette Sembrano revealed that she has resigned from GMA Network, and clarified that she was not fired.
During an interview with Ogie Diaz on November 9, Sembrano addressed allegations that she was fired from the Kapuso Network, prompting her to apply for the ABS-CBN Network.
Sembrano reiterated, “ Again, nag-resign po ako. Hindi po ako pinirate, so yun po talaga ang totoo. Hindi ako tinanggal.”
She shared that when her TV program ‘The Probe Team’ was not renewed, she then decided to resign even if she was still part of another GMA Network program, ‘Wish Ko Lang’.
The journalist shared that she resigned 18 years ago from GMA Network due to some issues with management.
She explained, “As plainly as hindi na ni-renew yung Probe, and at that time may kuwento akong ginawa, investigative report with Probe. Nu’ng hindi ni-renew yung Probe, I was still with GMA, nag-decide na tayo na mag-resign din from Wish Ko Lang! which I have to give credit rin naman to GMA 7 for giving that break at that time.”
“But I felt that I had to leave the network because of what happened doon sa relationship ng Probe at GMA,” she added.
She joined the Kapamilya Network in March 2004 and became a host of the ‘Magandang Umaga Pilipinas’ morning show.
