At the media conference for Kaluskos, which LionhearTV covered on November 17, Coleen Garcia explained why she has a limited number of acting projects.
Garcia clarified that she purposely limited it because she intended to focus on caring for her son Amari.
“I don’t think I purposely limit, pero siguro kasi, it’s not–parang mahirap din for every production to consider din na bitbit ko ‘yung anak ko and everything. Parang mahirap din naman talaga to consider it. Pero, wala eh, non-negotiable ko talaga siya, kasi I never spent one single night away from Amari.
“Yeah, I never spend a long time away from him, pero nagpapasalamat ako kasi ‘yung Viva and sila Direk they’re really so understanding about that. And I don’t think lalo na kung teleserye, na magiging madali siya kung palagi kong kasama si Amari.”
As for having a second child with Billy Crawford, Garcia acknowledged the possibility of adding a new member to their family.
“Well it’s a good time, it’s a good naman, but it’s up to God pa rin. At the end of the day, kasi na-realize ko rin naman na–akala ko kasi noong pregnant ako, ah madali lang ‘to, parang nine months, lang mawawala sa akin, pero hindi.Two years na ‘yung nawala sa akin, and I don’t feel like it’s going /to be /cut short anytime soon. So raising a child is not easy.”
However, she expressed her intention to focus her time and attention on Amari.
“Ang sa akin kasi, gusto ko lang matutukan si Amari, and I feel like if we would have another child now, manageable naman, doable naman, pero the way na natutukan namin siya ngayon, iba kasi talaga. Although we could multi task, mas gusto ko ‘yung focused talaga.”
As for her upcoming Vivamax movie, Kaluskos stars Coleen Garcia, Cara Gonzales, Karl Medina, Elora Espano, and Queenzy Calma. The Vivamax domestic thriller directed by Roman Perez Jr streams on November 30, 2022, via Vivamax.
