On November 1, actress Jaclyn Jose posted on Instagram how her 58th birthday got almost complete if daughter Andi Eigenmann managed to greet her.
“Thank you [son for making my birthday wonderful], and Ellie [my granddaughter for greeting me through FaceTime]. I love you,” Jose stated.
In the comment section of the same post, Jose added, “Sana bumati si Andi para mas complete. Oh well, I am good. Salamat talaga sa effort, sobra!”
The actress also called out Philmar Alipayo, her daughter’s fiancee, for not greeting her too.
“Philmar din ‘di bumati. You are the father of my grandchildren. OK lang, no big [deal] pero? ‘Di ba?”
Eigenmann then reposted a video on her IG story about the instances of being raised by a narcissistic parent. Netizens believed it was to hit her complaining mom.
After the exchange of innuendos, people noticed that Jose and Eigenmann unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Over the years, Jose would always take to Instagram to share her feelings about being a mother to her children, specifically Andi.
In one IG post in 2021, she wrote, “Anak hinahangaan kita sa kung meron ka buhay ngayon..napaktapang mo sana ako din..ang ganda ng pag papalaki mo sa mga bata sorry sa lahat pag kukulang ko.”
The on-and-off rift between the award-winning actress and her daughter was first publicized in 2014, after both parties admitted that they were not on speaking terms.
