Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando has finally addressed the long-running rumors linking him to actress Kim Rodriguez, firmly denying that there is any romantic relationship between them.
The issue resurfaced following persistent speculation that the two have allegedly been in a secret relationship, with claims circulating online that the governor has been supporting the actress financially and even gifting her a luxury car.
During an interview on ‘Kay Susan Tayo Vlogs’ hosted by Susan Enriquez, Fernando was directly asked about the real score between him and Rodriguez.
“Kakilala mo siya?” Enriquez asked.
“Eh, siyempre, artista eh,” Fernando replied.
“Sa personal?” she followed up.
“Nakilala ko po siya,” the governor said.
When pressed further about whether Rodriguez was ever his girlfriend, Fernando quickly responded, “Hindi po.”
He also denied that they ever reached a mutual understanding. When asked if Rodriguez was a close friend, he clarified with a laugh, “Female friend!”
Fernando added that the rumors stemmed from photos of them that circulated online, which he claimed were used by his political opponents to create intrigue.
The photos, which surfaced in May 2025, showed Rodriguez holding a bouquet of flowers while standing beside the governor, who had his arm around her. A yellow luxury car was also visible in the background, fueling speculation about their alleged relationship.
The governor, however, dismissed claims that he gave Rodriguez expensive gifts or financial support, including rumors that she allegedly received ₱1 million from him.
Meanwhile, Rodriguez has largely ignored malicious comments on her social media, occasionally responding in a subtle manner. In one instance, when a TikTok user commented, “Dedma sa basher basta may daniel fernando,” the actress simply replied, “Pikit.”
