Veteran actress Maricel Soriano admitted that she is not afraid of being “laos” or an obsolete artist.

The 57-year-old actress has already been in the showbiz industry since the 1980s. That amounts to more than 40 years of experience in the industry.

Soriano is a well-known artist who is affectionately known as “The Diamond Star” due to her acting prowess, talent, and popularity.

In her YouTube vlog on December 3, Soriano got candid about her career and fame.

She is aware that she will not be in the limelight permanently but she is still thankful for her career.

The actress shared, “Hindi [ako takot malaos].

Soriano also explained that everybody has their own term where they will shine in the industry.

Ganun talaga ‘yun eh. Natapos na ‘yung term mo, share it naman to others,” she said.

Maricel Soriano has won over 40 best actress awards throughout her career making her one of the most respected artists in the Philippines. She also has 5 FAMAS Awards including 2 Best Actress wins and a Dolphy Memorial Award for her contributions to Philippine comedy films.

She is set to make her showbiz comeback with the series Linlang. She will star alongside Kim Chiu, Paulo Avelino, and JM de Guzman.

The series will be directed by Jojo Saguin and Manny Palo and produced by Dreamscape Entertainment. It will premiere on television in 2023.
