At the media conference for An Affair to Forget, which LionhearTV covered on December 10, actress Sunshine Cruz asserted that she doesn’t want to forget her previous love affairs.
Cruz highlighted how her previous relationships made her a better and stronger person.
The actress explained, “No, wala, kasi all of the affairs that I had, affair or love life, I learned a lot from it. Hindi man nag-work, nag-work, meron tayong natutunan and it makes us a better person, it makes us stronger, and ang Affair to Forget lang na dapat ninyong abangan ay itong aking pelikula sa December 23, but with me, no. I don’t have an [affair] I want to forget.”
As for the state of her heart, she affirmed that she was “happy” with all the opportunities she received.
Cruz shared, “I am very blessed, I am very happy, kakatapos ko lang na mag-almost three months locked in for under age, ipapalabas na kami sa January sa GMA [Network]. Ito may ginawa ako, ‘yung An Affair to Forget, Pamilya sa Dilim, greatest performance. And then, I did three films; starting one again, very, very soon. So, walang dapat ireklamo. I am being blessed as well as my kids, my heart is okay.”
In September 2022, she and her former partner Macky Mathay unfollowed each other on Instagram, confirming that the former couple had broken up.
Cruz declined to share details about her split with Mathay. The actress revealed, “For now, I’m not really ready to talk about it, kung ano man ang meron, ano man ang wala. I just want to focus sa mga ginagawa ko talaga. Kailangan panoorin ninyo po, itong pelikula. Napakagaling dito ng ating, of course, award-winning actor, si Allen Dizon. Si Angelica, si Karl, magagaling na artista.”
