The award-winning actor plays the leader of a justice-seeking group in ABS-CBN’s newest primetime drama, Dirty Linen.
High praises for the seasoned dramatic actor, Joel Torre, flooded the social media network, Twitter, last night, January 27.
A brilliantly executed scene shared by Torre, with one of the lead cast members, Janine Gutierrez, during the last few minutes of the show, was an instant trending topic among netizens. Many lauded the exemplary portrayal of Torre, who did not even have to utter a single word, to impress.
The said much-talked-about scene saw Torre’s character, Rolando, fuming in anger and pain, after finding out that his wife (played by Lisa Diño), got sexually abused during her stay in the Fiero household. The Fiero family is the most powerful and influential in the town of El Hambra, where they operate various businesses that exploit the townspeople, especially the poor. Among those exploited are four houseworkers, who mysteriously just disappeared, while working for the Fieros. Rolando, alongside Alexa (Gutierrez), Lala (Jennica Garcia), and Max (Christian Bables), who got all left behind by the missing houseworkers, are on a mission to find out what [really] happened with their loved ones and exact vengeance from those who are responsible for their demise.
On Twitter, Torre’s name appeared on the local top trends list for several hours.

Similarly, Shine commended Torre’s ability to showcase a range of emotions in one scene.
