On March 9, Kapuso actress Beauty Gonzalez expressed happiness over finally landing a role in the award-winning GMA Network anthology series, Magpakailanman.
At the media conference for her upcoming Magpakailanman episode, Takas sa Impiyerno, Gonzalez cited how much she wanted to work in the Kapuso anthology series.
“I’m so happy, kasi–finally, it’s happening. Matagal ko ng hinintay na mag-guest ako sa Magpakailanman. But hindi lang nagkaka-timing because I was working [also] on different projects with GMA. And at the same time, I was looking for the perfect story. So, finally, nag-align ‘yung mga stars, so now it’s happening.”
She then discussed what it was like working with her co-star Lucho Ayala.
“I’m so happy to be working with Lucho, actually ang ganda naming tignan sa screen, nagblend kaming dalawa. When I met him, I told him na, ‘Oh I stalked you ha.’ Biniro ko lang para hindi siya ma-tense sa mga eksena. Kasi, parang parang ang tagal na raw ng last na show niya and then it’s quite a heavy role. Pero, sanay naman daw siya, parating ganon ‘yung role na ginagampanan niya most of the time.”
She also talked about the moral of her Magpakailanman episode and how it applies to their Kapuso viewers.
“Know your worth, alamin mo ‘yung worth mo bilang tao, mapababae ka man o lalaki ka, kailangan mahalin mo ‘yung sarili mo and nobody can hurt you if you don’t allow things to happen to you. Para, you know, ‘yun talaga ‘yung lesson learned na makukuha mo dito na know your worth and no matter what happens don’t let anybody hurt you kasi wala sila karapatan.”
As for her episode, Gonzalez stars in the Magpakailanman episode, Takas sa Impiyerno with Ayala.
Under the direction of actress-director Gina Alajar, the Magpakailanman episode airs on Saturday, March 11.
