On February 25, Kapuso actress Camille Prats admitted that she feels old when her co-stars pay tribute to her acting career.
At the media conference for AraBella, Prats clarified that despite feeling old, the praise from her co-stars also warms her heart.
“Totoo po ‘yung sinabi ninyo na nakakatanda ‘yung pakiramdam, but at the same time, nakakataba rin po ng puso because this group of people is really very, very close to my heart. Apart from this show being the first show that I’ve done again after five years of not being able to act, napakasaya po talaga ng aming show, para po talaga kaming naging isang buong pamilya.”
She acknowledged the cast, citing that she enjoys working with them.
“And now that I’m hearing these things about them, siyempre nakakataba talaga ng puso, at tsaka ang sarap ng pakiramdam na ganito pala ‘yung nararamdaman nilang lahat, na the feeling is mutual pala talaga na we always enjoy going to work.”
Althea Ablan detailed how Prats and the cast bond off-cam.
“Grabe, such an honor na maka-work kay Ate Cams, at lalo na kapag pagdating na namin sa set, ‘Okay, focused na tayo sa characters natin.’ Kasi off cam, very chikahan kami, ayan ni Shayne. Very talkative kami, kung ano-ano na ‘yung pinagchi-chikahan namin. Pero, pagdating talaga sa set na okay, in character na tayo.
“So si Ate Cams, kapag nakaka-eksena ko siya, nakakahugot talaga ako sa kaniya, kaya mabilis na lang, hindi ako nahihirapan.”
Shayne Sava described Prats as an expressive actress.
“With Ate Cams, it’s my first time working with her po, in a teleserye, and grabe, tama po ‘yung sinabi ni– na ang ganda po ng mata ni Ate Cams, as in very expressive, and kapag nakita mo ‘yung mata niya, mararamdaman mo na po agad ‘yung emotion, so once na tumingin ka lang sa mata niya maiiyak ka na agad.”
Alfred Vargas confessed that he got starstruck seeing Prats on the set.
“Pagdating naman kay Camille Prats, eh given na ‘yan magaling talaga, pero ako ‘yung personal experience ko kay Mars, kay Miss Camille, kasi first time ko siya makatrabaho, noong una ko siyang makita sa set, na-star struck na ako, kasi nga alam mo na ‘yan, Princess Sarah ‘yan, feeling ko naman prinsepe ako kasi kasama ko si Princess Sarah.
“Pero, noong una kaming nag-eksena, noong unang tumama ‘yung mata namin sa isa’t-isa, grabe nadala ako, and matic ‘yan pag Camille Prats, matic ‘yan na isa siya sa mga pinakamagagaling na actress ng kanyang henerasyon.”
As for their series, AraBella stars Althea Ablan, Shayne Sava, and Camille Prats.
The cast features other Kapuso stars such as Abdul Raman, Saviour Ramos, Klea Pineda, Mitzi Josh, Faye Lorenzo, Alfred Vargas, Wendell Ramos, and Nova Villa.
Under the direction of Adolfo Alix Jr, AraBella airs beginning March 6 on GMA Afternoon Prime.
