After more than two years hiatus on big events because of the pandemic, Filinvest City, the preferred premier events destination in the Metro South, is coming back in a remarkable way as it opens its Events Grounds with some of the biggest musical concerts of the year.
This is specifically monumental not only in the events industry but in central business districts like Filinvest City as these public spaces for activities within the city are enabling growth economically while strengthening connections between people across all segments, from foreign to local.
After three years, Filinvest City once again staged Wanderland Music and Arts Festival by Karpos Multimedia at the Events Ground which attracted people from different parts of the country as well as the neighboring countries. The two-day festival invited legendary acts including Dashboard Confessional, Phoenix, Carly Rae Jepsen, No Rome, Rico Blanco, and many more, to perform. After Wanderland, the celebration continued with the concert of acclaimed English rock band Arctic Monkeys.
Close by is the Filinvest Tent, which was converted into a quarantine facility during the pandemic, once again opened its doors for private and public events.
Aside from musical concerts, Filinvest City is also the preferred destination for big sporting events and fun runs such as Avon Run for Breast Cancer Awareness, The Bull Runner Marathon, and 2019 South East Asian (SEA) Games, thanks to its wide roads and sidewalks and well-connected pedestrian.
As soon as outdoor activities were encouraged and open-air venues were permitted in 2022, more marathons and cycling events took place within the city. There was the 7-Eleven Run last September 2022. Because of its popularity, the marathon event was also staged last February 4 to 5.
Strengthening its position as the preferred events destination, Filinvest City also completed a new events venue at the heart of the city—Central Park’s Great Lawn and Botanical Garden, which was opened to the public in 2022 where different community activities were held, from wellness to recreation. Here, bike and e-scooter rentals and creative installations are available to promote art, wellness, and active lifestyle for the community’s shared. People can also enjoy food at the local bazaar called Eats by the Park.
