At the media event for WinZir at the Ayala Center Cebu on March 14, actor-model Derek Ramsay shared his advice about sports gambling.
Ramsay cited the importance of regulated sports betting.
“Let’s be honest here, when you have a bet– it makes the game a little bit more exciting. Kapag naglalaro ako ng golf, I won’t lie, nagpupustahan kami ng maliit lang, I’m not going to get rich over that. Just the added pressure. So that’s what I want to tell the public about. And everything in regulation, responsible gaming, like drinking, be responsible with your drinking, eating–be [responsible] with your eating.”
He then highlighted his belief with WinZir’s advocacy of promoting responsible gaming.
“I believe they’re sincere in promoting responsible gaming. And I want to get on board so I can speak on that. We are here to enjoy sports and different games.”
He then detailed how he signed his agreement with the online gaming platform as their ambassador.
“Actually, everything happened so fast– it’s like the stars aligned. Just like I got married, it was so fast, nagpakasal ako kay Ellen–we met two months, and a few months later, we were married. We met each other back and forth to Cebu. And it seemed so perfect that the [next] endorsement that I got is homegrown dito sa Cebu. So Winzir is from here.”
He also noted how WinZir’s strict policies when it comes to betting.
“They have [very strict] policies when it comes to underage people–you can get in if you’re 21 years old and above. So all of these things– made me feel comfortable to be part of the family. I’m sure that this is not just a one time thing. [This is meant] to be a long term relationship like a family, just like my other endorsements.”
Ramsay signed with the online gaming platform WinZir as their newest ambassador to promote responsible gaming and their support for sports and athletes.
