On March 20, Kapuso artist Mikoy Morales recalled how Michael V urged him to be part of Bubble Gang‘s creative team.
At the media conference for Working Boys 2: Choose Your Papa at Vertis North, Quezon City, Morales cited how he got involved with Bubble Gang’s creative team during his stint in the Kapuso gag show.
“May times din na naging involved ako sa creatives ng Bubble Gang
“Wala namang ganon, I guess, tsaka bukod doon, bukod din kay Kuya Bitoy, ‘yung team rin, ‘yung buong creative din ng Bubble Gang, they’re very supportive and innovative.”
Morales acknowledged the privilege of working with the Kapuso comedian.
“Hanggang ngayon, may mga times pa rin na hindi ko alam kung saan ako lulugar kasi like Michael V. But still it’s been such a privilege to have been working with Kuya Bitoy. Kasi walang days na wala kang matutunan sa kaniya.”
He then recounted Michael V’s advice about being a proactive artist.
“Siguro ang bottom line ang madalas niyang sabihin, ikaw na gumawa. Na don’t wait on others, don’t wait on a show, don’t want on the production to do these things for you. Kung kaya mo ikaw na gumawa. Ikaw na mag-produce, ikaw na mag-edit, kasi ganon siya eh. So hanggang ngayon ganon parin, ginagawa ko pa rin.”
Morales worked on GMA Network’s longest-running gag show, Bubble Gang, from 2015 to 2022.
He stars in the upcoming comedy film Working Boys 2: Choose Your Papa with Wilbert Ross, Nikk Natividad, Vitto Marquez, and Andrew Muhlach.
The cast includes Bayani Agbayani, Angela Morena, Debbie Garcia, Lea Jane, Angelic Guzman, Divine Aucina, Bob Jbeili, Marissa Sanchez, and Juliana Parizcova Segovia.
Under the direction of Paolo O’Hara, Working Boys 2: Choose Your Papa opens in cinemas nationwide on March 29.
