Kapuso host Kuya Kim Atienza and Kapamilya actor Joross Gamboa agreed with Kapuso comedy actor Michael V.’s statement (or Bitoy) on content creators.
In a Facebook post on April 29, Bitoy stated, “The first thing any ‘content creator’ should understand is the meaning of the word: ‘CONTENT.'”

Many netizens, including celebrities and social media personalities, agreed with Bitoy’s statement.
In his comment, Kuya Kim Atienza said, “Amen brother. 
It’s not about views. It’s about value. .”
Doctor and social media influencer Dr. Kilimanguru also sided with Michael V’s statement, saying, “Absolutely.”
However, while majority of netizens agreed with Bitoy’s, controversial social media influencer Rendon Labador may have failed to comprehend the thought behind the Kapuso comedian’s statement.
In a comment, Labador criticized Bitoy and called him ‘laos.’
“Masakit na katotohanan na laos na kayo. WE CONTROL THE MEDIA NOW,”
In a subsequent social media post on May 8, Labador again slammed Bitoy, saying, “INFLUENCERS” are the new celebrities! Kung hindi ninyo kayang makipag patalinuhan sa mga INFLUENCERS sa pag produce ng content.. Manahimik nalang kayo. MAINSTREAM IS DEAD! Social media is the NEW MAINSTREAM.”
Meanwhile, it seemed Kapamilya star Joross Gamboa came to the defense of Michael V in his comment, mocked an unnamed person, who he said was rightfully targeted by the post of Labador. He also agreed that content should be about “quality, purpose, and responsibility.”
“Kuya Michael V. Daming tinamaan… yung isa nga sa muka eh, but seriously speaking… [sapul] talaga… eh eto totoo na umiiyak na siya anyways… Quality > Quantity, Purpose, and Responsibility.”
