As the beloved series ‘Voltes V: Legacy’ approaches its conclusion, dedicated viewers have voiced concerns over the declining ratings and perceived weakening of the storyline.
The show recently slipped to the 7th spot in the list of most-watched TV programs, registering only 11.2% viewership, and was even surpassed by afternoon shows.
Some viewers took to social media, particularly X (formerly known as Twitter), to express their frustrations. Headwriter Suzette Doctolero promptly responded to the feedback, shedding light on the challenges faced in maintaining the series’ narrative.
Doctolero explained, “Kasi po need ng filler dahil di kaya na puro beastfighters. Alam kong magagaling kayo at kay huhusay pero ano ba alam nyo sa realities ng show na ito?”

In response to this suggestion, which included adhering to the original storyline and improving action scenes, Doctolero simply reiterated her previous query, “No. Ur not answering my question. Hindi nga pwede gayahin lahat kasi di kaya all beastmonsters so Please answer my question. And let’s see kung kaya mo solusyunan ang given.”

Despite these challenges and viewer concerns, ‘Voltes V: Legacy’ is set to bid farewell on September 8, 2023, after four years of preparation and four months on air. The live-action TV adaptation on GMA Network has been a significant endeavor for the director, production staff, and cast.
