On August 1, Kapamilya artists Yves Flores and Gillian Vicencio considered their spin-off series their ‘2 Good 2 Be True’ moment.
At the media conference for ‘RETOX: 2 Be Continued,’ which LionhearTV covered, Flores remarked that the spin-off series came unexpectedly.
“Ito na, na hindi namin ine-expect na magkaka-spin off after ng ‘2 Good 2 Be True,’ akala namin ‘yun na ‘yun eh. So expect namin, or maiisip namin or itutuloy, pero movie ng buong series. Di ba?
“Pero ‘yung kami lang, parang–parang nagulat rin kami. Seryoso ba? Akala namin noong una nagjo-joke lang sila. Pero, ito na.”
Vicencio emotionally expressed her appreciation for the opportunity she got with her first lead role in the spin-off series.
“This is too good to be true para sa akin. Kasi first time ko ‘to na like may mediacon tapos ako ‘yung nandito ngayon. Na kami ‘yung nasa front. So yeah.”
As for how they got the project, Flores revealed that their producers offered them the spin-off show during the Christmas party of ‘2 Good 2 Be True.’
“Actually, sinabi sa amin noong Christmas party ng 2Good2BeTrue. Parang akali namin nagjo-joke lang ‘yung mga producers na sila ate Kathy, sila ate Roe, na okay ba kayong dalawa. Kasi akala nila hindi kami okay.
“I mean hindi kami okay na magkasundo pa ba kayo, close pa ba kayo, sabi ko oo naman, okay kami. Tapos sabi nila, balak kasi namin gawan kayo ng– itutuloy ‘yung–gagawa nga ng spin off nga.”
The spin-off series of KathNiel’s (Kathryn Bernardo-Daniel Padilla) ‘2 Good 2 Be True’ features Yves Flores and Gillian Vicencio, with the supporting cast including Mercedes Cabral, Earl Ignacio, Migo Valid, and Kate Yalung.
‘RETOX: 2 Be Continued,’ under the direction of Paco Sta Maria, started streaming via ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel on August 1.
