She shared her sentiments, highlighting the immense difficulties she faces as she takes on all responsibilities for her child.
Pokwang expressed the emotional and financial strain of single parenthood, emphasizing that she fulfills every role in her child’s life, alluding to her daughter’s father, Lee O’Brian.
She candidly expressed, “Ang hirap maging single mom lalo na sa panahon ngayon, ako lahat! gastusin, oras sa bata, emosyon, ako lahat! tapos nag-failed ang relasyon ako parin ang nasisisi?? bitter ka! move on kana! maging nanay ka muna bago mo i-invalidate ang nararamdaman ng isang kagaya ko wag kang makasawsaw lang! hindi mo alam ang iyak ko sa gabi kapag nagiisa nalang ako, hindi mo naririnig mga dasal ko dahil hindi ka Dios.”

A netizen empathized with Pokwang’s sentiments and commented on the audacity of fathers who fail to support their children.
In response, Pokwang revealed her frustration and hinted at seeking assistance from Raffy Tulfo, a renowned broadcaster known for helping resolve various issues, particularly those involving families and relationships.
Pokwang’s past relationship with Lee O’Brian ended in November 2021. The couple shares a daughter named Malia, born in 2018. While Pokwang has clarified that their breakup was not due to third-party involvement or financial disputes, she cited feeling emotionally drained and tired as the primary reasons for the separation. She also mentioned overlooking red flags in O’Brian during their relationship. In January 2022, Pokwang hinted that O’Brian had entered a new relationship and claimed he was not providing child support for Malia. O’Brian denied these allegations and countersued Pokwang for defamation.
As of September 2023, Pokwang is not publicly known to be in a new relationship. She is committed to raising her daughter, Malia, and focusing on her career.
