On November 9, Kapuso star Anjo Damiles recounted doing his first kissing scene in ‘Stolen Life.’
At the media conference for ‘Stolen Life,’ which LionhearTV covered, Damiles highlighted how ‘wild’ his role is in the Kapuso afternoon series.
“[My] Very first kissing scene– I guess, mayroon din ako, I’ve never had one. [This project] is my first, and it’s my first time [to also be] wild, sobrang wild.
“Minsan natatanong ko na lang sa sarili ko, paano nagagawa ni Kuya Gabby ‘yun. Paanong nagagawa ng isang Gabby Concepcion ‘yun? Kasi dalawa lang naman kaming lalaki dito eh. So paano, tinitignan ko siya, paano mo nagagawa lahat to, ang galing naman niya. Pero ‘yun nga, it was a very difficult time for me, but pleasant at the same time.”
He also discussed his characterization for the series.
“Similarity with my character and I, wala po talaga, sobrang ang layo. It’s different from who I am as a person, and who I am while playing my character. Honestly, hindi ko nga po alam kung paano ko siya nagagawa eh.”
He also recalled how his co-stars in the series helped and supported him during their sequences.
“Pero, working with these people, na nakasama ko na sa movies, si Miss Celia, si Carla, si Divine, si Miss Lovely, of course, Kuya Gabby, napakalaking tulong sa akin kasi natural akong bulol.
“Okay, so natural akong bulol when it comes to the set, I always screw up, lalo na kapag bibitawan ‘yung mga linyang mabibigat, malalalim, tapos parang laging nawawala ‘yung thought ko. Pero sila ‘yung mga taong laging nagsasabi sa akin na, ‘Kaya mo ‘yan.’ Just do it, just do it, do it, kaya mo ‘yan. Sobrang supportive sila, kahit di nila eksena, basta ka-eksena mo sila, supportive din talaga silang tao.”
He thanked everyone involved in the project, emphasizing their professionalism.
“This is my first teleserye na sobrang bugbog ako, hindi ko na lang sasabihin kung bakit, kailangan ninyo na lang panoorin ‘yan. So there’s a lot of firsts for me in this teleserye, one is working with Carla and Beauty, Miss Celia, Miss Lovely, ‘yun pa lang sobrang grateful and thankful na ko na nakasama ko sila. I’ve never worked with very professional people, very good people, very nice peoeple, and very loving people when it comes to their craft, so I’m [very] happy working with them.”

The series features Celia Rodriguez, Divine Aucina, Anjo Damiles, Lovely Rivero, William Lorenzo, and Juharra Zhianne Asayo.
Under the direction of Jerry Lopez Sineneng, ‘Stolen Life’ airs on GMA Afternoon Prime starting November 13.
