On October 26, actress-entrepreneur Dimples Romana explained that she remained a Kapamilya after joining TV5’s ‘Gud Morning Kapatid.’
At the media event for the newest hosts of TV5’s ‘Good Morning Kapatid,’ which LionhearTV covered, Romana thanked ABS-CBN heads for allowing her to be part of TV5’s morning show.
“It’s nice na ang tawag ni MJ kanina dual citizen. I love it because first, I’m not leaving the Kapamilya network–I’m still a Kapamilya, still with Star Magic. I’m so grateful to our bosses that I [was given] the permission to do Good Morning Kapatid, kasi this is for News5.”
She discussed what it was like being part of TV5 News through ‘Gud Morning Kapatid.’
“Kasi for me, kapag sinabi mong news, it’s a different kind of arena. It’s so scary, pero sobrang happy ko din kasi parang– I’ve always wanted to be on a daily show [that] talks about issues.
“But at the same time, daily lives kasi ‘yun naman–doon din naman ‘yung gift ko din, kasi parang as a story teller, na artista ka, sa teleserye, ‘yun ang trabaho ko eh, to interpret the lives of people who go through it na walang mukha sa kanila na binibigyan natin sila ng mukha.”
She then highlighted her ‘Good Morning Kapatid’ segment ‘MOMents.’
“So this time, I think it’s another form of story telling pero, mas realidad na siya. Mas nasasabi ko rin ‘yung mga wisdom na natutunan ko over time. So I guess, with the segments that I’m doing like MOMents, I talk to moms like yesterday I shot a segment with Trisha, tapos Mommy din siya, tapos with gadgets ano ‘yung mga– ang totoo ng pinag-uusapan.”
She also noted how they would showcase her entrepreneurial side in the Kapatid morning show.
“And then another one naman– we’re doing room makeovers na gustong-gusto ko kasi, as you know, one of the businesses [that] I do outside of showbusiness is real estate. So I like that, we tried to flip– so doon ako masaya kasi another side of me is given a light through Good Morning Kapatid.
“So sana may matutunan sila, kasi kayo alam ninyo din po na my husband and I started from scratch, we we’re not born with a silver spoon in our mouths, and we really started from scratch, we came from public schools, you all know this, this time ‘yung parte ng buhay ko na ‘yun, maibabahagi ko sa kanila through Good Morning Kapatid.”
As for ‘Gud Morning Kapatid,’ the morning show features Dimples Romana and Maoui David as the newest hosts of the Kapatid Morning Show. They would join Jes Delos Santos, Chiqui Roa-Puno, Justin Quirino Dr. Dex Macalintal, and Atty. Buko Dela Cruz in bringing lively mornings to TV5 viewers.
