On December 1, Kapamilya singer Janah Zaplan discussed her plans of continuously releasing music with hopes of landing a chart-topping hit.
During a media event at the Academy of Rock, Quezon City, which LionhearTV covered, ABS-CBN Music creative director Jonathan Manalo first highlighted Zaplan’s consistency as an artist.
“Importante sa artist ‘yung consistency, kaya doon na papasok ‘yung putting the hard work, so magtutuloy-tuloy pa kami sa mga releases namin with Janah kasi kailangan dumami pa ‘yung mga releases niya kasi ‘yun nga mas marami ‘yung repertoire mo, mas malaki ‘yung chances na magkaroon ka ng hit songs.”
He then discussed their plans to release more music with Zaplan by 2024, with hopes of a chart-topping hit for the artist.
“So that’s [going to] be our plan for Janah, [to] release more songs next year and keep ‘yung pagiging consistent ng singles niya that she’s putting up.”
Zaplan expressed gratitude for ABS-CBN Music’s belief in her talent as a singer.
“Actually I have everything in hand, as I always say, I’m always grateful po dahil lahat po ng tumutulong sa akin nandito kaya din po ako nandito. And to do my part po, I have to hone my skills more in performing, singing and dancing.”
She then hinted at her goals of showcasing her songs in the future.
“And I also would want to explore more po my song writing po, hopefully, sana po magawa ko po din ‘yun kasi I have my personal songs, pero sa akin pa lang ‘yun.
“So parang ‘yun na lang po ‘yung part ko to always kumbaga, internalize the songs that I’m releasing para mas lalo pong mabigay ‘yung message na kino-convey ng songs na ‘yun.”
For now, Zaplan released her Christmas-themed single, ‘Pasko’y Nagbabalik’ under Star Pop.
Star Pop head Roque Rox Santos and ABS-CBN Music Creative Director Jonathan Manalo were also present during the event in support of the young Kapamilya singer.
