Viva Entertainment confirmed this exciting news during a recent media conference, where they unveiled a lineup of upcoming projects for the coming year.
Among these projects is a film featuring Sarah and Matteo, scheduled to hit theaters in June 2024. The movie is a remake of the popular Korean film ‘Wonderful Nightmare.’
The original Korean romantic comedy starred K-drama luminaries Uhm Jung-hwa and Song Seung-heon, and now, the AshMatt tandem is set to breathe new life into these roles on the big screen.
‘Wonderful Nightmare’ revolves around the cold-hearted lawyer Yeon-woo who woke up in heaven after a car crash, only to discover a heavenly mix-up. Stuck living as a housewife for a month, she juggles family chaos and rediscovers forgotten warmth in unexpected places. Facing a crucial decision as time runs out, Yeon-woo must choose between a familiar career and the newfound joy of simple human connection.
During a recent interview with Matteo, he was asked about the possibility of working on a project together in the coming year. Expressing enthusiasm, he shared his anticipation of collaborating with his wife in a film or teleserye.
Matteo conveyed that if there is a compelling script that aligns with their schedules, there is no reason why they wouldn’t take on the opportunity. He also extended his gratitude to their fans for their unwavering support and love.
To date, the collaboration between Matteo and Sarah has been limited to the film ‘Catch Me, I’m In Love,’ produced by Star Cinema and released in 2011.
