TV5’s ‘EAT…Bulaga’ and ‘It’s Showtime’ now lead the battle for noontime supremacy, leaving former contender ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya’ behind.
Based on the most recent ratings report from the Nielsen NUTAM People survey, ‘EAT…Bulaga’ and ‘It’s Showtime’ now hold the top 2 positions in the noontime ratings race, with ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya’ now occupying the last spot.
On Saturday, January 13, ‘It’s Showtime’ scored its second victory as the noontime leader after obtaining a rating of 4.2 percent, its second-highest rating since the ABS-CBN shutdown. ‘EAT…Bulaga’ then followed in second with 4.1 percent and ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya’ in third with 3.2 percent.
On its next episode on Monday, January 15, ‘EAT…Bulaga’ made a comeback, surpassing ‘It’s Showtime’ for the top spot with a rating of 4.0 percent vs. 3.4 percent, respectively. ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya’, on the other hand, remained in third with 3.0 percent ratings.
On Tuesday, January 16, ‘EAT…Bulaga’ sustained its noontime leadership, registering a rating of 4.3 percent, followed by ‘It’s Showtime’ in second with a rating of 3.7 percent, and ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya’ still lagging in third place with 2.8 percent ratings.
With the recent revamp of TAPE Inc.’s noontime show over GMA Network, it seemed most of its viewers only lingered on the fact that it previously retained the ‘Eat Bulaga! ‘ brand. But with its name change, most of them might have lost the appetite and transferred to either ‘EAT…Bulaga’ or ‘It’s Showtime.
