On Saturday, February 24, It’s Showtime nearly broke its highest people rating (since pandemic) of 5.7, logged on February 17, which is also a Saturday.
The February 17 episode notably featured the mother of Daniel Padilla, and former Magandang Buhay host, Karla Estrada, which sparked the ire of many netizens who were not happy of seeing the TV host back ABS-CBN. Estrada supported many candidates and even run under a party-list group, known for supporting the ABS-CBN shutdown.
It’s Showtime has been noticeably showing strength in Saturday ratings, as its most recent Saturday episodes notably won the ratings game. The February 17 episode, in fact, saw the Kapamilya noontime show’s lead swell to 1.4 points versus EAT Bulaga, and 3.0 points versus Tahanang Pinakamasaya.
On February 24, replicated the feat by topping the noontime race anew, besting out EAT Bulaga and Tahanang Pinakamasaya, with 0.8 and 2.5 leads in people ratings, 5.5 versus 4.7 and 3.0, respectively.
It is worth noting has never advanced in ranking, since falling to the last spot due to apparent unfavorable impact caused by losing the Bulaga brand.
