On February 1, actress Bea Alonzo revealed that she and her beau, Dominic Roque, have no Valentine’s Day plan yet.
At the media event for the launch of Reno11 Series 5G, which LionhearTV covered, Alonzo remarked that men should be the ones to plan for Valentine’s Day.
“Wala, wala pang plano. Parang dapat lalaki ata ‘yung mag-plano.”
She then clarified how she and Roque give equal effort into their relationship.
“I think ‘yung relationship is always a two-way street. Hindi lang pwedeng lalaki. We are always pushing for equality. So, equality means ‘yung effort equal. So, sa relasyon naman namin, wala ‘yung mas nag-eeffort at di nag-effort.”
She added that she may have a taping day during Valentine’s Day.
“Wala pa, wala pa, nako iniisip ko nga parang taping day ata namin ‘yan eh.”
Roque proposed to Alonzo in July of 2023, surprising the actress during one of her photoshoots.
When asked about their wedding plans, Alonzo responded, “Wala pa, wala pa. Alam mo wala pa talaga, so I can’t tell you anything just yet.”
She explained that she and Roque were busy, citing her teleserye Widows’ War and an unnamed upcoming project.
“I’ll tell you kapag mayroon na akong idea. But right now, wala pa.
“I mean, we are getting there, but also, we are very busy with everything. I’m about to start a teleserye, and then may iba pang project na I can’t tell you yet, which will happen [also] this year.”
Earlier, netizens voiced their concern with the couple after some noticed that Alonzo attended her goddaughter’s first birthday celebration, wherein the actress was seemingly not wearing her engagement ring.
Others worried about the couple when they noticed Alonzo and Roque not liking each other’s posts.
As for their latest brand endorsement, Alonzo joins Nadine Lustre in unveiling OPPO Reno11 Series 5G.
Alonzo and Lustre, as brand ambassadors, shot a TV commercial highlighting the camera capabilities of the mobile device and its standout Portrait Expert features.
OPPO Reno11 Series 5G debuts a 32-MP Telephoto Camera, which they used in making the film video for the advertisement.
Available Pearl White and Wave Green, OPPO Reno11 Series 5G launched this February 1.
