Carl Guevarra, the lead vocalist of The Juans, shared candidly about his experiences with heartbreak involving a female celebrity.
Joined by his close friend Chael Adriano, Guevarra recounted the emotional journey he underwent in his relationships with the said celebrity.
Guevarra revealed that he found himself in the “talking stage” with the female celebrity on two separate occasions, both of which ended in disappointment.
The first instance of heartbreak occurred when Guevarra discovered that the female celebrity was already in a relationship with a mutual friend while they were preparing to perform at an event.
“May isang instance na mag-guest kami sa isang show, mag pe-perform kami tapos bago kami sumalang, nalaman ko na ‘yung ka talking stage ko may boyfriend pala na kaibigan ko rin.”
Despite this setback, Guevarra admitted that he didn’t give up on his feelings for the celebrity and decided to give their relationship another chance when she became single again.
“When they broke up, we started talking again and dito ako naging marupok. Eh gusto ko siya eh, so nu’ng break na sila, malinis na break na talaga nag-usap kami ulit, so akala ko ayun na ‘yun,” he shared.
He shared the vulnerability he felt as he reintroduced the female celebrity to his family and friends, believing that their reconnection was genuine. “Ako I am not shy to admit na kahit may mga red flags siya noong umpisa, noong kinausap niya ako ulit nagre-engaged ako although feeling ko mas totoo na ‘yun kasi nakakausap niya na ang mga friends ko, nag facetime na kami ulit, family ko nakausap na niya, mga kaibigan ko sa probinsya naka-face time niya. So akala ko, baka ito na talaga ‘yun game na talaga.”
However, his hopes were shattered once more when he learned through media reports that the celebrity had entered into a new relationship with someone else. “Nagulat ako na one time, may nakita kaming article ina-announce na she is with another person and they are official. It’s out here. They are celebrated. They’re a love team.”
