The Sentimental Songstress Imelda Papin was full of praise for actress Claudine Barretto on April 7, describing her as the ‘best actress’ to portray her in ‘Imelda Papin: The Untold Story.’
“The best talaga si Claudine Barretto. She’s really.. for me, she’s a big star and also the best actress. We had the best choice playing the role of Imelda Papin. Kaya I’d like to thank Claudine for that role,” Papin expressed.
“Right decision po iyon, perfect decision,” added the singer.
Barretto could not have been chosen to play Imelda in the film without the help of her daughter Aileen and director Gabby Ramos in selecting the best choice for the role.
“Hindi ako puwedeng mag-desisyon without the decision of my daughter and the director. Kaya ‘yun po; kaya si Claudine po ang kinuha namin at magaling talaga si Claudine. Wala akong masabi, talagang parang Imelda Papin siya sa movie.” praised the singer.
‘Imelda Papin: The Untold Story’ also includes ER Ejercito, Alice Dixson, Gary Estrada, Angelica Jones, Gary Valenciano, and Angel Aquino.
The film is completed by Joel Torre, Jim Pebanco, Jett Pangan, Marcos Mamay, Amay Bisaya, Zac Papin, Kanisha Santos, Blumark, Aileen Papin, and Maffi Papin Carrion.
