Actress Bea Alonzo has taken action against showbiz columnists and online hosts Cristy Fermin and Ogie Diaz, along with their co-hosts, by filing three separate criminal cases for cyber libel.
These cases were filed at the Quezon City Prosecutors Office.
Alonzo also included an online basher who falsely claimed to be close to her in the complaints lodged.
According to Alonzo’s affidavit, she was subjected to a barrage of false and malicious information by an individual posing as someone close to her. These unverified claims were disseminated on Fermin and Diaz’s online programs without any factual basis.
The allegations against Alonzo included personal insults and unfounded accusations, such as claims regarding her tax compliance.
Joined by her legal representative, Atty. Joey Garcia, and her manager, Shirley Kuan, Alonzo formally submitted the complaints.
As of now, there has been no response from Fermin and Diaz regarding the legal actions taken against them.
