Enzo Pineda made a revelation on April 17th, stating that he is no longer interested in taking on daring projects.
To recall, Pineda made a bold move by starring in the 2019 film ‘Malamaya’ with Sunshine Cruz. He also delivered a dauntless portrayal in ‘He Who is Without Sin,’ a 2020 Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino entry.
During those times, the actor was single. However, in 2020, he and Michelle Vito announced to the public that they were officially a couple.
As they entered their fourth year of being in a relationship, Pineda announced that he would be taking an indefinite break from daring roles.
“Hindi na muna,” he said during a media interview for his upcoming movie ‘G! LU.’
In his latest project, the actor flaunted his abs and nothing more. However, the film was made in 2019, with Pineda still in the “ligawan stage” with Vito, whom he met on the set of “Nang Ngumiti ang Langit.”
“Sinasabi ko nga kay Michelle, hindi pa tayo magkasintahan, pero shinu-shoot ko na ang pelikula. Kasabay ko pa siyang ginawa sa ‘Nang Ngumiti ang Langit,’ kaya nakilala ko si Michelle. Nag-uumpisa pa lang ang ligawan stage namin noon. Kaya bago kami naging magkasintahan ni Michelle, nagawa ko na ang mga daring na pelikula,” he explained.
The actor justified his decision as a way to not be boxed into roles solely focused on his physique. Pineda insisted that he wanted to explore other characters and genres to achieve a sense of fulfillment as an actor.
“So, gusto ko siyang magawa at least once in my life. Ayokong magkaroon ng pagsisisi someday na sana ginawa ko ‘to nung bata pa ako, o sana tinanggap ko itong uri ng papel nung mas experimental pa ako.
“At least ngayon, nagta-transition na ang mga projects ko sa… Hindi ko masasabi na hindi naman meaningful kasi lahat naman ng projects ko ay may kabuluhan. Pero iba ang mga layunin at aral na ipinapakita ng mga pelikula at proyektong ginagawa ko ngayon.”
Meanwhile, his movie ‘G! LU’ will be in cinemas on April 24th.
