James Reid is set to return to the acting scene with an exciting new project, marking his much-anticipated comeback.
Despite stepping away from acting for a period, James clarified that he never left the industry entirely and always intended to return.
In an interview with MJ Marfori, James shared that his break from acting was to focus on his music career and to develop his own identity outside of the loveteam dynamic he was known for.
“I always planned on going back to acting. I didn’t quit. I just wanted to do music [first] because I left that kind of show business, being in a loveteam and everything,” James explained. “I wanted to figure out who I was outside of a pair, and I felt that through music. It’s been great,” he added.
James Reid was famously paired with Nadine Lustre in the popular JaDine love team until their split in January 2020.
His last acting roles were in the 2018 film ‘Miss Granny,’ where he starred alongside Sarah Geronimo and Xian Lim, and ‘Never Not Love You,’ co-starring Nadine Lustre.
