Philippine-based online media outlet, Orange Magazine celebrated its 14th anniversary with a special thanksgiving event on August 8, 2024, at Joy Nostalg Hotel & Suites Manila in Pasig City.

Founded in July 2010 by Jessie Bunyi Villanueva, Orange Magazine has grown into a significant platform for digital content, driven by Villanueva’s passion for media and storytelling.

The anniversary celebration, held at The Roof on the 43rd floor of the hotel, brought together special guests, clients, and media colleagues who enjoyed grilled food, drinks, and a breathtaking view of the Ortigas skyline.

The event featured performances by acoustic singer-songwriter Destiny Palisoc and DK Tijam, a vocal coach and former ‘Star In A Million’ finalist. Tijam also introduced artists from DK Talents, showcasing emerging talent in the industry.

Villanueva, reflecting on Orange Magazine’s 14-year journey, credited the publication’s success to a dedicated team.

“Finding the right people/team to help you is the key. Hindi kasi talaga lahat kaya mo gawin mag isa. Yes, you can multitask and work on your own but eventually mapapagod ka pa din kasi hindi lahat makakaya mong gawin. So getting the right people with the same passion, interest, loyalty and dedication helps a lot. And I’m happy that after all these years, I finally found a team who’s not just hardworking but is also concern sa company na inestablish ko,” he said.

Villanueva also highlighted the importance of building strong relationships with PR agencies and brands, maintaining professionalism, and understanding one’s value in the industry.

“Treat yourself as a brand. Because if you know how to value yourself, you won’t allow anyone na maliitin ka at i-discriminate,” he added.

Orange Magazine has continued to expand its online presence, with an increasing number of subscribers and engaging content. Villanueva also shared plans for the future, including building a network for key opinion leaders (KOLs) and influencers, organizing more events, and promoting OPM artists and fellow content creators.

“Right now, I’m trying to build a network where I can produce KOLs or Influencers. I wanted to do more events that are enjoyable and productive. I like to promote more brands, OPM artists, and help fellow bloggers and content creators,” he shared.

The event also featured a raffle with prizes provided by sponsors, including airline tickets, gadgets, and gift certificates. The celebration underscored the strong sense of community that Orange Magazine has fostered over the years.

Villanueva expressed gratitude to the sponsors, including Joy-Nostalg Hotel & Suites Manila (managed by ACCOR), PLDT Home, AirAsia, Grab, Ripple8, RLC Residences, Utterly Techie, M360PR – PR + Activations Agency, DITO Telecommunity, LG Philippines, GCash, Agents International, Alpas Consultancy, foodpanda, maya, EPSON, Goldilocks, Skechers, MSL, Home Credit, Bridges, Dominguez Marketing Communications, Inc., COMCO Mundo, Fuentes Manila, TikTok, Launch & Meet, Eggshell, Ladybug, Stratworks, Moringa VITA, Full Circle Comm. As the anniversary event concluded, Villanueva emphasized his commitment to giving back to the community and those who have supported him and Orange Magazine.

“This is the reason why I want to share my blessings. Because naniniwala ako na when you do good, sometimes naipapasa siya sa iba. You share your blessings so they can share their blessings din sa iba. Tumulong ka para tumulong din sila sa iba. Also, I just want to give back sa mga taong tumulong sa akin, sa mga hindi bumitaw when I’m struggling, and sa mga taong patuloy na nagtitiwala sa akin at sa Orange Magazine,” he said.

Happy 14th anniversary to Orange Magazine, and here’s to continued success and growth in the years to come!
