Liza Soberano is being credited with playing a crucial role in the release of Jeffrey Oh, her rumored boyfriend and business partner of James Reid, who was jailed last year.
Oh, a Korean-American businessman, was arrested by the Bureau of Immigration (BoI) in July 2023 for allegedly lacking the necessary permits to work or operate a business in the Philippines.
In a recent revelation by Ogie Diaz, it was disclosed that Liza reached out to James for assistance in securing Oh’s release.
“In fairness, dahil sa friendship ni Liza kaya natulungang makalabas si Jeffrey Oh,” Ogie noted.
Due to the speculation surrounding Liza and Oh’s relationship, James has reportedly been cautious about the businessman. He previously shared concerns about deceptive practices attributed to Oh, highlighting the importance of being discerning in trust.
The two were seen recently in Singapore for an event.
Ogie also expressed hope that Liza would come to terms with the realities of her situation, urging her to be mindful moving forward.
