GMA Entertainment has confirmed that directors Rico Gutierrez and Enzo Williams will be taking over ‘Sang’gre’ following the departure of director Mark Reyes.
This change comes as Reyes shifts focus to other major projects slated for release in 2025.
In an official statement, GMA Entertainment announced, “Direk Mark Reyes will start on new major projects for 2025,” adding that he will pass on the direction of ‘Sang’gre,’ which remains on track to air on GMA Prime in 2025.
Reyes, who directed both the original ‘Encantadia’ in 2005 and its 2016 reboot, expressed his support for the new directorial team and the cast of ‘Sang’gre.’ “I wish the cast, the staff, Direk Enzo, and Direk Rico the best of luck with the remaining work for Sang’gre. Avisala Eshma!” he said in his statement.
The upcoming series, a spinoff of the beloved Kapuso fantaserye ‘Encantadia,’ stars Angel Guardian, Bianca Umali, Faith Da Silva, and Kelvin Miranda as the new guardians of the mystical brilyantes. Filming for ‘Sang’gre’ began in November last year, and fans are eagerly awaiting the series’ 2025 debut.
