The much-awaited second season of the top-rated adventure series, ‘Lolong: Bayani ng Bayan,’ is set to return to Philippine primetime with even more thrilling action.
Known as 2022’s most-watched TV show, the series raises the stakes with intense fight sequences and emotionally charged moments.
One of the standout moments in the upcoming season features a heart-pounding bus fight, where Lolong, played by Ruru Madrid, battles villains to protect innocent lives. The sequence showcases not just adrenaline-pumping action but also the heroic resolve of the beloved character.
Ruru shared his enthusiasm for the challenges he faced while preparing for these demanding scenes.
“Every punch, every fall, and every choreographed move–it’s never easy, but the challenge fuels me,” he wrote on Instagram. “Being back in action for Lolong reminds me why I love what I do. It’s not just about the fight scenes; it’s about the discipline, grit, and passion that make it all worth it.”
The actor also expressed his hopes of inspiring the younger generation through his work.
“More than anything, I do this to inspire–to show our viewers, fellow Filipinos, and the younger generation that with hard work and determination, we can overcome any challenge. Let’s keep pushing limits and chasing our dreams, one step at a time,” Ruru said.
