GMA Network ushers in the new year with the premiere of ‘My Ilonggo Girl’, a romantic-comedy series starring Jillian Ward, the “Star of the New Generation.”
The much-anticipated show debuts on January 13, 2025, at 9:35 PM on GMA Prime.
Jillian Ward takes on a challenging dual role in her first primetime rom-com. She stars as Venice Hermoso, a glamorous internet celebrity, and Roberta “Tata” Magbanua, a humble Ilongga living a simple life. When circumstances force Tata to impersonate Venice, hilarity and heartfelt moments ensue as she steps into the world of fame and glamour.
Joining Jillian in this exciting series is Sparkle actor Michael Sager, marking their first pairing on screen. The chemistry between the two promises to bring audiences a fresh wave of kilig as their characters navigate love and identity in the whirlwind of mistaken identities.
Shot on location in Iloilo, ‘My Ilonggo Girl’ not only tells a captivating story but also highlights the province’s stunning landscapes and rich cultural heritage.
