Kapuso actor and OPPO endorser David Licauco opened up about his eventful 2024 and teased his upcoming projects for 2025 during OPPO Philippines’ Thanksgiving Party for the media held on December 13 at Manila House, BGC, Taguig.
In our exclusive interview, Licauco reflected on his personal and professional milestones over the past year.
“It was a year full of ups and downs—maraming challenges, maraming opportunities,” Licauco shared. “I’m super happy that 2024 came because I learned so much, not just in showbiz but also in my personal life.”
One of the highlights of 2024 for Licauco was purchasing his first property, which he considers a significant step in his life.
“I just bought my first lot… I’m excited because that’s where I want to build my house,” he revealed.
Licauco also looked back at his standout projects, including his two movies ‘G! LU’ released in April and ‘That Kind of Love’ in July. He also headlined GMA Network’s primetime hit ‘Pulang Araw’, where he starred alongside Barbie Forteza, Alden Richards, and Sanya Lopez.
Aside from his acting roles, Licauco participated in international tours such as ‘Sparkle Goes to Canada’ in April 2024, where he performed in Calgary and Toronto with other Kapuso stars.
Looking forward to the new year, Licauco revealed that he already has two movie projects lined up and is set to star in a new teleserye that may focus on action—a genre he is excited to explore.
“I heard it’s going to be action-themed, so 2025 will be different for me,” he hinted.
When asked about his resolutions for the coming year, Licauco emphasized his desire for self-improvement.
“I just want to be a better version of myself—a better brother, better actor, better businessman, better friend,” he said.
