Known for her fun content in social media, the influencer believes the current generation has everything it needs to make an informed choice in the upcoming election.
We have come to a point when we realize how much power social media and modern technology holds, when it comes to influencing the masses in making choices. This is the same power social media star, Sassa Gurl, and comedian Tuesday Vargas, put emphasis on, during the latter’s vodcast, Your Honor.
As the May 2025 election is practically just around the corner, Sassa and Vargas can’t be more real in their statements about shaping the outcome of the election.
Sassa Gurl, who has been very vocal on her political stance, believes that she can only express her ideas on who she thinks needs to be elected.

“Hindi naman ako naninisi ng ibang tao na, ‘ay, yan kasi binoto nyo, ganyan-ganyan, kasi alam ko naman na nadala lang sila sa sistema na ganon, ” she said, adding that nowadays, it is much easier for the public to know what is fake and real, because of internet and social media.
“Dapat mas matalino na tayong bumoto, di ba? Hindi ko ipupush sa inyo kung sino ang dapat ninyong iboto, ako—mag-eendorse ako, yes, pero responsibility natin na alamin ang mga bagay-bagay” she shared.
Tuesday Vargas couldn’t agree more to Sassa Gurl, as she pinpointed the power of social media and the role of stars and influencers in maximizing their platforms in educating audiences.
“Kailangan nating gamitin ‘yung platform the proper way, kasi hindi lahat ng tao nabibigyan ng space to speak, “ she said, underscoring how the youth today are often influenced by social media and their favorite stars in their personal choices.
“Hindi lahat ng kabataan ngayon ay aware. Kahit marami silang nababasa, they always rely on somebody they can trust para ibulong ano ang ibig sabihin ng nabasa nila, ”
She then reminder her fellow celebrities to use their platforms and power to guide their audience into making informed choices.
“Tayong mga artista, tayong mga influencer, we have the power to do that, para i-shape ang kaisipan ng mga tao. Kung hindi natin gagamitin ‘yung platform properly, kawawa ka din eh” she further explained.
