Vice Ganda was formally introduced as Santé Barley’s newest celebrity ambassador during the company’s ‘SPEED Salvo 2025’ event on February 2.
The ‘It’s Showtime’ host and box-office star revealed how the health product helped improve his well-being, particularly in overcoming gut issues that had long affected his daily routine.
During the event, Vice, along with Santé CEO Joey Marcelo and host MJ Felipe, discussed the significance of health and wellness in his life. Vice candidly shared how Santé Barley had a noticeable impact on his digestion.
“Alam mo yung isa pang magandang effect sa akin, magmula noong nag-take ako ng Santé Barley, natulungan talaga ako sa constipation. Promise. Kasi, problema ko talaga ‘yan,” Vice confessed.
He emphasized how starting his day with a healthy bowel movement influences his overall mood and performance. “Masarap sa umaga na alam mong magaan ang tiyan mo, nailabas mo ang toxins mo,” he explained. “Doon siya nagsisimula, yung paggising ko sa umaga, diretso na agad ako ng CR.”
Vice also underscored the importance of maintaining a strong immune system to sustain his demanding schedule. “Through [boosting my immunity], I am able to live for more,” Vice said. “The industry is very challenging and demanding. It requires so much of my time, strength, and health. Kung hindi ako physically fit, hindi ko maa-achieve yung mga pangarap ko.”
He noted that staying physically and mentally healthy enables him to continue spreading positivity to his fans. “Kailangan kong simulan ang araw ko nang magaan ang pakiramdam ko,” he said. “I need to feel good kasi yun ang gustong makita sa akin ng viewers ko at gusto kong mai-share din sa kanila.”
For Vice, a healthy life is about balance—caring for both physical and mental well-being while maintaining a grateful outlook. “A healthy life is a life full of gratitude and happiness. Marami tayong issues and negativity, pero dapat hindi ma-invalidate ang beauty around us,” he added.
Vice Ganda’s commitment to his health has played a crucial role in his success. His recent accolades include winning Best Asian Original Game Show for ‘Everybody, Sing!’ at the 2023 Content Asia Awards and receiving the Bahaghari Champion Award for his contributions to the LGBTQIA+ community in 2024.
He also took on his first dramatic role in ‘And the Breadwinner Is…’, a 2024 film directed by Jun Lana. The movie was a critical and commercial hit, earning over P400 million in ticket sales and earning Vice a Special Jury Citation at the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival.
