Tiangco, a TNT Years 1 and 2 aspirant, won the second season of GMA Network’s The Clash.

Jeremiah Tiangco, known as Miah, has stirred online buzz after reposting an Instagram story from user @inigoandcassiesmomma, suggesting his stint as a Tawag ng Tanghalan (TNT): All-Star Grand Resbak finalist has boosted his popularity beyond his The Clash Season 2 championship. The repost has fueled speculation that Miah believes his return to the TNT stage has elevated his public profile, despite facing criticism for rejoining the competition.
The Instagram story, captioned, “Hindi ko gets bakit may mga basher ‘to. Baka nami-misinterpret lang ang pagiging confident at kakulitan kaya napag-iisipang mayabang. Binabash dahil champion na sa The Clash, tapos natalo sa TNT,” defended Miah against detractors. Some fans have criticized his decision to compete again, viewing it as a step down from his The Clash victory in 2019, where he won a GMA management contract, a million pesos, a car, and a house and lot.
Miah’s quirky videos and intense stage performances have been cited as reasons for perceptions of arrogance, which the Instagram user suggested may be a misinterpretation of his confidence.
Miah, a TNT alumnus from its second season, has been a standout in the All-Star Grand Resbak 2025, earning consistent praise from judges like Ogie Alcasid, Karylle, Jed Madela, Pops Fernandez, and Lani Misalucha.
His performances, including a standout rendition of “A Change Is Gonna Come” that earned a standing ovation from judges Zsa Zsa Padilla, Erik Santos, and Marco Sison, kept him in the spotlight through the first three rounds. However, his journey hit a setback when his team, Pangkat Alon, was dissolved, and he was eliminated after losing to Pangkat Agimat’s Vensor Domasig. A wildcard round now offers Miah a chance to return as a final resbaker, potentially securing a spot in the grand finals following Holy Week.

The repost has sparked mixed reactions. While some fans rally behind Miah, celebrating his resilience and talent, others question why a The Clash champion would return to TNT, a platform they argue is less prestigious.
“Naniniwala po ako na hindi po natatapos sa ‘The Clash’ ‘yung laban ng buhay ko,” Miah said on It’s Showtime on March 20, explaining his return as a pursuit of unfinished business and a desire to inspire his soon-to-be-born child.
As TNT: All-Star Grand Resbak continues, Miah’s wildcard opportunity keeps him in the running, proving his enduring appeal and sparking ongoing debates about his career trajectory and growing fame.
