Kapuso actress and TV host Mikee Quintos has confirmed that she and actor Paul Salas have ended their years-long relationship.
In an emotional interview during the April 1 episode of ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’, Mikee bravely opened up about the breakup, admitting that it was a difficult decision and one she had been contemplating whether or not to share publicly.
“Honestly, before today, pinag-iisipan kong mabuti kung magsasabi na ako sa public o hindi—mahirap for me,” she said. “Shocking for me lahat ngayon. A month ago na ‘yung nag-start kaming mag-usap about this decision.”
Mikee revealed that the separation was a mutual decision, something that became clearer to both of them as time passed. However, she emphasized that there was no third party involved in the breakup.
“Of course, wala pong third party. ‘Yung ‘bakit,’ I think, it’s better if you hear it from him,” she added, referring to Paul.
The couple, who went public with their relationship in 2022 and celebrated their third anniversary in July 2024, had been admired by fans for their chemistry and low-key romance. News of their breakup came as a surprise to many of their supporters.
Despite the heartbreak, Mikee remained hopeful and grounded in faith, saying she’s leaving it all up to God if their paths are meant to cross again in the future.
“Kung kami, I know siya na yung maghahanap ng way ng mangyari yun—si Lord. I won’t try to control things, I just know na ito yung tamang decision now… Wala akong regrets. Mahirap for me tong decision na ‘to,” she shared.
Reflecting on the journey, Mikee also talked about the lessons she learned about love and self-worth.
“I think what I learned about love is we attract the love we give ourselves. Kung gaano natin kamahal yung sarili natin, yun yung love na tinatanggap natin.”
Before the interview ended, she had a heartfelt message for Paul: “Paul, thank you sa four years and alam mo naman. Nasabi ko na yung mga gusto kong sabihin. Maybe I wanna remind you lang na nasa sa’yo to make all this worth it.”
