Speculations are swirling once again in the world of showbiz and politics after veteran columnist Cristy Fermin dropped a bombshell on her radio program ‘Cristy Ferminute’ on June 12, claiming that actress Arci Muñoz was spotted traveling to Europe — allegedly accompanied by a vice mayor from Bantay, Ilocos Sur.
According to Cristy, she received a text message from a source, which included a photo showing Arci and the unnamed vice mayor together at the airport.
Although she opted not to show the image to the public, she described the two as looking “happy,” further fueling rumors of a budding romance.
“May tinanggap ako ditong text, may picture pa. Heto tiyak na ide-deny ito. Sa panahon po ngayon ng social media, papaano pa tayo makapag-de-deny, e, nakunan kayo ng retrato?” said Cristy on air.
Her co-host Romel Chika chimed in, jokingly suggesting, “Sabihing nagkasabay lang?” To which Cristy replied, “Oo! Ang manyoman pala ‘yung wifey ng vice mayor… hay naku!”
While Cristy carefully avoided naming the local official or confirming whether he is still in office, her commentary was enough to spark curiosity and debate among netizens.
On social media, reactions were mixed. Some questioned whether the two are romantically involved, while others defended Arci, suggesting that the alleged airport sighting might have been coincidental.
“Europe trip? Baka naman official business… ng puso!” one user joked online.
As of this writing, both Arci Muñoz and the camp of the vice mayor have yet to respond to the rumors.
