Ashley Ortega’s eviction from Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition marked a pivotal moment in her career.

As the first duo evictee alongside AC Bonifacio, Ortega faced a wave of feedback, both critical and supportive. In a roundtable interview, she reflected on her experience, choosing to focus on the overwhelming positivity from fans rather than the negative criticism that followed her short stint in the PBB house.
“It’s more of nabigyan ko talaga ng pansin all the positive comments,” Ortega shared. She expressed gratitude for both new and long-time supporters who connected with her authenticity. “Paglabas ko kasi ng house, hindi ko inexpect lahat ng nangyari—a lot of controversial issues pala na I did not expect,” she admitted, acknowledging the unexpected controversies.
However, she emphasized the encouragement she received: “I really owe it to the fans and to the supporters who were there for me, who cried with me when I was inside the house, who got to relate with me, who were there to appreciate who I am.”
Ortega highlighted the simplicity of life inside the PBB house, where housemates relied solely on each other. “You’re living a simple life… kami-kami lang din ‘yung—we only had each other, wala kaming ibang family members,”she said. This experience deepened her appreciation for life outside, from savoring food to cherishing her fans’ heartfelt messages.
“Yung mga comments nila about me, something na nakatataba talaga ng puso,” she added, marveling at the love she received for being her authentic self.
Her time on PBB allowed Ortega to reveal her true personality beyond the characters she portrays. “That’s the reason why I joined PBB… for my fans to get to know me more maliban sa mga characters na piniportray ko,”she explained. Sharing personal struggles, including family challenges, resonated with viewers, making PBB a “great platform” for her to connect authentically.
