Following an intense week of voting, the duo of Shuvee Etrata and Klarisse de Guzman—popularly known as ShuKla—has exited ‘Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition’, sparking uproar online and placing fellow housemates AZ Martinez and River Joseph (AzVer) under fire.
Monitoring from June 10 until the final tally at 12 NN on eviction day showed ShuKla consistently leading against fellow nominees DusBi (Dustin Yu and Bianca De Vera) and AzVer. However, a last-minute surge in votes pushed DusBi from the bottom of the rankings to safety, leading to ShuKla’s shocking eviction.
Many fans believe ShuKla’s early lead caused complacency, while DusBi supporters went all out during the crucial final hours of voting. But it was AzVer who drew the brunt of the backlash, especially from ShuKla’s loyal followers.
The reason? It was AzVer who gave ShuKla the three nomination points that placed them on the chopping block in the first place. River later admitted that although his views of Shuvee had changed positively, his partner AZ stood firm on their decision, citing a rule violation. According to AZ, Shuvee had referenced outside-world information upon her entry—a serious breach of Kuya’s rules.

Amid the backlash, even journalist Dyan Castillejo was forced to delete a post about a private viewing party hosted by River Joseph’s family in Alabang, after angry fans flooded it with comments.

Despite the controversy, AzVer emerged victorious in this round and earned the chance to donate ₱100,000 to their chosen charity.
