An emotional Bianca Umali took center stage during the grand media conference of ‘Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre’ held last Sunday, as she expressed her heartfelt gratitude for being chosen to lead GMA Network’s much-anticipated fantaserye.

“Ito pong proyekto na ito, ang Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre, has brought us to new heights of our lives,” she began. “Literal, dinala po kami nito sa ibang mundo na hindi po namin kilala at hindi po kami sanay na karoroonan namin.”
Playing the lead role of Sang’gre Terra, Bianca was overwhelmed with emotion as she shared how surreal it feels to be entrusted with the central figure of such an iconic franchise. “To become Sang’gre Terra, to be trusted to hold the brillante of earth — my heart is just full of gratitude,” she said, holding back tears.
She admitted that she never imagined herself being part of ‘Encantadia’, having already starred in GMA Network’s fantasy series ‘Mulawin vs. Ravena’. “This is a dream I’ve never dreamt of, but it came true,” she said. “When it was announced to me, I felt thankful for the trust and excited for the doors that this project will open for all of us.”

Bianca revealed that being part of ‘Sang’gre’ demanded intense preparation and sacrifices — including months of rigorous training and two years of filming. “We sacrificed not just everything around us, but even ourselves — our time, our dreams — just to give our full attention to this project. We didn’t want to disappoint the Encantadics who have waited for the return of this vast world,” she explained.
Sang’gre is the latest installment in the beloved ‘Encantadia’ universe and premieres this June 16 on GMA Prime. Alongside Bianca, the series features Glaiza de Castro (Pirena), Kylie Padilla (Amihan), Sanya Lopez (Danaya), and Gabbi Garcia (Alena), as well as Gabby Eigenmann, Rhian Ramos, Faith da Silva, Angel Guardian, Kelvin Miranda, Jon Lucas, and many more.
