Kapamilya star Darren Espanto recently explored the iconic NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, amid his ongoing U.S. concert tour with fellow artist Morissette Amon.
Despite a packed schedule, the Filipino-Canadian singer carved out time to visit the historic space facility, known for its pivotal role in human space flight and exploration.
Espanto’s visit was a brief yet meaningful break from his rigorous commitments. While he was notably absent from a recent episode of ‘It’s Showtime’—which featured Charo Santos promoting her new film ‘Only We Know’—his absence was due to his involvement in The Filipino Channel’s 30th anniversary concert series abroad.
Espanto has a full workweek, hosting ‘It’s Showtime’ from Monday to Saturday and performing on ‘ASAP’ every Sunday. Aside from his TV responsibilities, he also takes on various Manila-based and regional events.
The U.S. leg of the ‘Showstoppers’ tour kicked off on June 14 in Stafford, Texas, and continues with shows at the Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, California on June 20, and the Graton Resort and Casino in Rohnert Park on June 22. The tour follows a successful run in Europe, including stops in Paris, Frankfurt, and Madrid.
Now reaching Filipino communities across the United States, Espanto and Morissette continue to earn praise for their dynamic performances and strong stage presence—further solidifying their roles as two of the Philippines’ top musical artists.
