Under the bright lights of Diliman, Vice Ganda’s voice rang out with clarity and conviction during the LOV3LABAN 2025 celebration—an event honoring Pride Month and the LGBTQIA+ community’s fight for equality.

Speaking to a crowd brimming with color, courage, and community, the celebrated entertainer and advocate reminded Filipinos that privilege must not divide, but unite.
"Hindi porket matanda ka na, at may pera ka na, iiwanan mo yung mga tulad mo na hindi nakakakuha ng pribilehiyo nakukuha mo; dahil ang pribilehiyo ngayon ay hindi dapat maging pribilehiyo mo lang – dapat maging karapatan yan ng bawa't isa."

“Kung tutuusin, may pribilehyo na ako,” Vice began, acknowledging her own success and platform.
Her impassioned message landed at a tense moment in the national conversation. Just days before, fellow LGBTQ+ personalities Ricky Reyes and Renee Salud publicly denounced same-sex marriage and the long-delayed SOGIE Equality Bill. Vice’s speech served as a powerful rebuttal—rejecting complacency and spotlighting the urgency of systemic reform over personal gain.
The SOGIE (Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity or Expression) Equality Bill, which has languished in legislative limbo for over two decades, remains a flashpoint in Philippine politics. Vice’s speech reignited calls for its passage, particularly among younger Filipinos who see the bill as a basic step toward equity and protection under the law.
Social media roared in support. On X, user @badwistouch declared, “SPILLED SO HARD,” while @faneyakez wrote, “and this is why meme vice is the real LGBTQ+ icon.”

Others, such as @HarveyNation13, didn’t mince words—calling out Reyes and Salud for their comments with, “Makinig kayong dalawang matandang toxic renee at ricky.”

Vice Ganda has long worn the mantle of LGBTQIA+ representation in mainstream media. In a 2023 GMA News interview, she reflected on this responsibility: “I have to be [a] better version kasi hindi lang ‘yung pangalan ko ang nire-represent ko, kung hindi isang malaking komunidad.”
That personal mission echoed powerfully through her words at LOV3LABAN, where her commitment to collective progress over individual success felt not just symbolic—but essential.
In standing beside the community she emerged from, Vice Ganda reminded the nation that true pride is not just about celebration—it’s about action, solidarity, and never leaving anyone behind.
