Criza Taa has finally broken her silence on what happened to the once-tight friendship she shared with Andrea Brillantes, Bea Borres, and Danica Ontengco—collectively known by fans as the ‘ABCD Girls.’

In an interview with Toni Gonzaga on her YouTube talk show, Criza was asked about her absence from recent vlogs and activities involving the trio. The question: “What happened to the ABCD Girls?”
Criza shared that their bond began as early as ‘Kadenang Ginto’ days.
“Kadenang Ginto pa lang kasi, super close na po talaga kami. So parang nag-decide kami na ‘Tara, gawa tayo ng group group. Video video tayo.’ At first, ano lang siya, joke joke lang siya… tapos nagustuhan ng mga tao,” she recalled.
The squad, which initially started creating content just for fun, gained traction online, eventually becoming one of Gen Z’s most beloved friendship groups.
But things have changed.
“Friends pa rin naman po kami. Hindi ko na po masasabing as close as before, pero okay naman po kami,” Criza clarified. “Siguro may mga ganun lang po talagang friendship na it’s not meant to last. Parang bigla na lang pong nawala.”
She admitted not knowing the exact cause of the drift.
“Hindi ko rin po alam kung ano ‘yung pinaka-main reason. We haven’t really talked about it. Siguro we’re just not on the same wavelength at that time.”
Despite the growing distance, Criza emphasized that there was never a falling-out or a major conflict.
“Actually, never naman po kasi kami nagkaroon ng problema. Parang at that time, we just really needed space,” she said.
Though they may have grown apart, Criza says things are now okay between her and the rest of the ABCD Girls.
